We denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who we are to beguiled demoralized by the charms of pleasures that moment, so we blinded desires, that they indignations.
GivingTuesday – Tuesday, December 2, 2025: The Power of Generosity That Changes the World
What if we told you that you are changing the world right now? Would you believe it? And yet, a better future is built not through a few grand gestures, but through the billions of small steps we all take each day. A simple act of care, a smile, a moment of understanding, or an hour of our time spreads like the threads of a beautiful tapestry that connects people, creating waves of kindness and solidarity. This is the power of radical generosity—a power that belongs to everyone and has the potential to transform communities, lives, and entire societies.
GivingTuesday began in 2012 as a simple idea—a day dedicated to doing good—and has since become a global generosity movement that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate, support, and uplift. It serves as a reminder that every person has something meaningful to offer: time, financial support, skills, attention, or the power of their voice. Every act of giving matters. And all of us, without exception, can contribute to the world we want to build.
For the Parents’ Association of Children with Neoplastic Diseases “Lampsi”, GivingTuesday holds profound significance. Every donation—big or small—provides essential support to children facing cancer and to their families during the most challenging moments of their lives. It sustains psychological support, educational initiatives, creative programmes, financial assistance for families, and our great vision: the construction of a Hospitality House next to the new Pediatric Hospital currently under development in Filyro. A warm, fully equipped, and functional space that will offer dignified, safe, and humane accommodation to children and parents travelling from across Northern Greece to undergo treatment.
On the occasion of GivingTuesday, the children and parents of “Lampsi” extend their warmest and most heartfelt gratitude to:
— The individual donors who support our work quietly yet consistently. — The companies, foundations, and institutions that become invaluable sponsors of our actions, events, and major projects. — All those who, in any way, contribute to the continuation and growth of our mission.
GivingTuesday, just a few days before International Volunteer Day on December 5, reminds us that generosity and volunteering are two expressions of the same human strength: our deep need to care for one another. When we give—our time, love, effort, or financial support—we do more than build a better tomorrow. We build a society that is more compassionate, more united, and more full of light.
Let us continue, together, to weave this beautiful tapestry of giving. For the children. For their families. For a kinder and more hopeful world.
